Aperia Technologies introduced a new tool to its Halo Connect platform, “Nearby Issues” on Oct. 20. The new location-based feature uses a technician’s real-time position to show trucks nearby that have tire issues.
Aperia said the Nearby Issues feature extends Halo Connect by turning tire issue data into location-based actions. Technicians can locate the correct truck, access live tire data, and confirm fixes instantly.
“Technicians don’t need more alerts. They need the right insights at the right time,” said Ralph Dimenna, CCO at Aperia Technologies. “Nearby Issues gives them a faster, smarter way to prioritize and resolve tire problems based on where they are, closing the gap between knowing an issue exists and getting it fixed.”
According to Aperia, with Nearby Issues, technicians can:
- See what’s nearby: Instantly view all nearby vehicles with tire issues.
- Prioritize for action: Access a ranked list of trucks based on issue severity and count for faster decisions.
- Access live tire data: Connect over Bluetooth to check tire pressures and confirm repairs on the spot.
- Gain full transparency: Review detailed issue data, tire health history, and exact vehicle locations.
- Navigate: Use an interactive GPS map with severity-based color coding.
- Stay secure: Allow access only for authenticated users physically near the vehicle.
Aperia said adding Nearby Issues to Halo Connect via the Halo Tech App helps fleets act proactively, lower maintenance costs, and maximize uptime through efficient tire service.
