In 2024, Continental supplied tires to 18 of the world’s 20 highest-volume electric vehicle (EV) original equipment (OE) manufacturers, including BYD, Geely, Volkswagen, NIO, Mercedes-Benz, and Renault. Across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the Americas, and Asia-Pacific (APAC), Continental delivered OE tires to nine of the top 10 EV makers. According to the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), one in five cars sold globally now runs on electricity.
