Mercedes-Benz selected the Continental EcoContact 6 Q tire for its GLE and GLS models. Continental said it designed the EcoContact 6 Q for energy-efficient performance and low noise across a range of vehicle types. Its rubber compound reduces energy absorption and rolling resistance, enhancing fuel or energy efficiency. The tread pattern was also optimized to minimize rolling noise, contributing to a more refined driving experience, Continental said.
The tire combines short braking distances with grip on wet and dry roads, while maintaining cornering stability at higher speeds. Continental said these features make it an ideal match for the luxury performance characteristics of Mercedes-Benz SUVs.
