This year, a record number of 545 truck drivers will receive the title ‘Knight of the Road’ from TVM Belgium. Since the start of the celebration in 2005, when 39 drivers were awarded, TVM’s road safety initiative has continued to grow in success: in five years, the number of laureates has more than doubled.
“In 2025 we will celebrate 304 Bronze Knights (3 years damage-free), 232 Silver Knights (5 years damage-free) and 9 Golden Knights (10 years damage-free). Although TVM Belgium will not honor a Diamond Knight (20 years damage-free driving) this year, 2025 symbolizes the broad and structural appreciation of safe driving behavior at every level, says Dirk Clement, the new general manager of TVM. Every Knight, from Bronze to Diamond, makes an essential contribution to safe transport every day and deserves appreciation.
