Must read

Together with 170 guests, Portilog celebrated its 75th birthday on Tuesday, October 7, during a festive event in De Ark in Antwerp. During this celebration, the knowledge and training center for the port and logistics sector mainly focused on the challenges of the sector: digitalization, sustainability and the search for more efficient supply chains.

Logistics expert Alex Van Breedam gave an inspiring keynote on the question of whether supply chains should become shorter, smarter or greener. He emphasized the importance of data analysis, coordination and strategic thinking for the logistics professional of tomorrow. A panel with representatives from ports, companies and the labor market then discussed themes such as collaboration, innovation and tackling labor shortages.

Portilog announced three priorities for the coming years: innovation, accessibility and sustainability. With training courses that respond to the latest trends and technologies, the center wants to prepare companies and employees for a future in which resilience and innovation are central.
