Weerts Supply Chain has officially opened its new distribution center for FrieslandCampina in Tessenderlo. This expansion supports the storage and distribution activities of FrieslandCampina in the region and strengthens the logistics presence of Weerts in Flanders.
On the site, three existing warehouses were brought together under one roof. The distribution center processes up to 110 trucks per day and offers considerable storage capacity in both cooled (4 ° C) and environmental zones. Moreover, the cooled transport fleet of Weert Supply Chain is considerably expanded. This results in new jobs and the development of a completely new team in Tessenderlo.
The new DC has the BREEAM Excellent certificate for sustainable construction.
