Australia: Call for automotive brands to take ELT responsibility

Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) has called upon vehicle brands to do their bit when it comes to end of life tyres. No tyre manufacturing has taken place in the country since 2010, and although around a sixth of the 20 million passenger tyres, 8.5 million truck and bus tyres, and 750,000 off-the-road tyres imported annually arrive fitted to a vehicle, only two brands – Mercedes-Benz and Porsche – currently treat tyre stewardship as part of their value proposition.
